Ten Minute iPad Case Tutorial

Basic iPad Case

Materials Needed:

Scrap fabric (about 1/6 yard)
1/6 Yard Felt
Sewing Machine
Measuring Tape

Estimated time: 10 minutes

Measure and cut your fabric and felt into two pieces 8.5 inches by 10 inches. You should have two pieces of fabric and two pieces of felt. Next, pin one piece of felt to one piece of fabric and sew the narrow ends together, this is creating the top seam. Third, sew together the two pieces on the three ends that do not include the top seam, creating a pocket. When sewing pieces together make sure the outside fabric called the ‘right’ sides are facing each other and the felt should be out the outside. This will create the look you want when you flip inside out. This allows your seams and felt to be inside for a clean and professional look. Lastly, flip inside out and take a pin to pitch your inside corners for a crisp look. You are done!

I made this the other afternoon while my daughter took a nap... and I used one piece of fabric and just used the fold as the bottom seam (opposite the opening) and it worked great. Thanks for this quick little project.
