Backyard Wedding Games

When prioritizing the wedding we put "guests having fun" at #1. We are trying to do that with 1. Alcohol (always helps), 2. Good Music, 3. Entertaining Friends and 4. Backyard activities. Bryan and his friends have become very into "cornhole", a Southern game that involves throwing bean bags into the holes of slanted wooden boards. I was hesitant to have this at the wedding but now feel it's perfect for the vibe we are going for. I found a link here and have high hopes of Bryan building them. My expectations may be too high but I have faith in my man. My sister would then paint them (she's a good artist) and I would make the bean bags with the custom fabric I plan to order.

Custom Fabric printing

I have literally spent over seven months trying to find the perfect fabric for my upcoming May Wedding. I was looking for a geometric pattern in light yellow and gray. I wanted to use the fabric for the photo booth, lounge cushions and small details around the reception. I had just about given up until I found custom fabric printing. I had heard about it in a magazine and ruled it out expecting it to be super expensive. After visiting alluminaire.com and seeing how affordable, easy and fun it is, I will definitely be purchasing some fabric for the wedding. There are several companies and websites that allow for custom fabric design but I particularly liked alluminaire.com because they have templates to choose from and you can even have them create your project for you; lampshade, pillow, etc.

It's simple, you go to fabric creation and you get to choose from hundreds of templates; then you have five options for the size of the pattern, then you get to pick from a very large variety of colors. Some other websites only had one yellow, one blue, etc. It's about $18 a yard which, after doing a lot of research, I think it's worth $18. I found fabric as high as $200 a yard in fabric stores.

There are other websites that allow you to upload a photo or graphic to create custom fabric, I am also very intrigued by this but don't know that I currently need to go that custom for my wedding fabric. I hope to order mine soon and will report that outcome.

I'm Spoiled

I have always been spoiled by having two sets of parents growing up. Twice the Christmas presents, and getting married and joining another family only adds to the joy. I feel like one Christmas for me is like ten Christmas's for anyone else. My family overdoes it, but in a good way. Bryan spoiled me this year again with the most thoughtful and perfect gifts. 1. Office Board Game (I love board games and the office!!!) 2. William-Sonoma Filled Pancake Pan (Regular pancakes had become children play) 3. Pearl Earrings (well I already have beautiful diamonds, did I mention he spoils me?) 4. The new Chelsea Handler Book (HILARIOUS!!!) 5. iPhone Gloves (I get so frustrated when I can't answer the phone in my winter gloves)
