Engagement Photos- Part 2 Downtown Knoxville, TN

Since we live downtown we also wanted to take some photos of downtown. It was about 30 degrees and raininy outside, it did not do anything for my hair.

Engagement Photos Part 1- Tennessee Theatre

Bryan and I decided to have our engagement photos taken at the Tennessee Theatre because that's where we met. I was in college and working part-time in the box office, while Bryan was working production of the shows. He spent most of his time in the box my first night and I thought he was supposed to until my manager told me he is supposed to be backstage all night. It took four months before we went our first date though.

On The List: Books

I have a lot of books on my reading list but, I think "Committed" may have to be moved up my queue. The book by Elizabeth Gilbert, author of "Eat, Pray, Love" now has a sequel that discusses the expectations of marriage, socially and personally. I am guessing it has a good ending which is rare in my findings about marriage books. I will let you know after reading my opinion.

Napkin Ideas

I am without a doubt a detail person. Now that the larger items are done (date, place, dress, food, etc.) I get to work on the wedding details. When at the rental facility today Bryan and I started thinking about how we want to do the napkins. Probably not a big deal to most couples but we take pride in the little items. Today I did some investigating and found some very lovely examples. Photo Credits

Etsy Seller of the Week: The Wedding Collection of Carol Hannah

On Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheWeddingCollection Carol Hannah has a sample of her new Wedding Collection and it is just stunning. It's so feminine, graceful and what bride wouldn't wear her dresses? I can't wait to see the entire collection. The price is affordable and she has lots of fabric color options. I just may need a getaway dress.....

DIY Children's Activity Books

Children are invited to our wedding, I know that can be a controversal topic. We want to make them feel part of the wedding and give them activities to do. I created a Wedding Activity Book to keep them busy that includes puzzles, coloring pages, mazes and more, all personalized to our wedding. I apologize for the iphone pictures, there is a huge difference in picture quality.

Ring Bearer and Flower Girl Dress - CHEAP

Although I do love the new J. Crew flower girls dresses $300 is a bit much for a 3 year old dress that might never be worn again. We purchased this very practical yellow polka dot dress from Gymboree with matching sunglasses, hat, shoes and even the flower basket. The dress is only $36. The ring bearer already had hs suit but I found these very nice suits at T.J. Maxx for less than $15 each! They looked to be very high quality and you cna't beat the price if they only wear it once.

I heart Red

This is a beautiful Wisconsin wedding done by photographer Erin Jean. Photos are posted on www.stylemepretty.com and erinjeanphoto.myshowit.com/sarajedwed2. I love the pop of red, the attention to detail and the ultra modern name ice sculpture.
