$5 Bulletin Board Made from Ceiling Tile

You know that I love anything that I can create for less than what it retails for! Here I'll show you how I created a $5 bulletin board in under ten minutes!

Materials:
-Ceiling Tile $1.50 (Home Depot)
-Brass Push Pins $1.00 (Dollar Tree)
-Fabric $2.50 (Joann)

Typically ceiling tiles are sold in boxes of 12 but just ask nicely (wink wink) and the store can typically sell you tiles by the piece.

Carving Pumpkins with Power Tools

I like any excuse to get out my power tools. I like using my jigsaw and my drill bits to create beautiful pumpkins for Halloween.

I recommend having assistance when carving with power tools as it's hard to hold the pumpkin and tool at the same. For a more precise design I recommend drawing your design with pencil first then carving. Lastly, I worked on funpkins (foam pumpkins) and actual pumpkins and the tools were great on both.

Watches Reinvented: The Modern Locket

Let's be honest now, how often do you look at your watch for the time? I'll admit, even when wearing a watch, I glance at my cell phone for the time. I love idea of repurposing your watches and making them personal. I'm thinking of "the modern locket." This project is super simple and can be completely free.

Local favorite: Diana Fox, Interior Diva

I want to make a virtual introduction to my favorite local designer, Diana Fox. She can be found at Bliss Home as the ultimate interior design diva. She may look familiar as she also makes regular appearances on the Fox 43 Morning Show while showcasing her beautiful creations.

If you need a fresh pair of eyes to give you a modern home makeover, she's your gal. You won't go wrong with Diana!

P.S. She doesn't know that I'm doing this post because she's so modest! Houzz Page

DIY French Chair Makeover

I purchased these chairs from a restaurant that went out of business for a great deal. I didn't realize what bad shape they were in until I started working on them. I've only done two so far but will admit that I've spent over twenty hours on these chairs.

My transformation began with stabilizing the chairs and glueing. I then stripped the fabric and stripped the hundreds of layers of paint (took most of my time). Lastly, I was able to reupholster, my favorite part!
